RELIANCE EYES FOREIGN PARTNERS |
2007/7/25 11:05:39 |
By Joe Leahy in Mumbai Tuesday, July 24, 2007 Reliance Industries, India?¡ìs largest private-sector oil and gas company, said yesterday it would for the first time consider being a partner with foreign oil majors on large new projects.
The company, controlled by Mukesh Ambani, hopes to tap the oil majors?¡ìexperience in complex deep-water fields and gain access to their pools of talent.
Reliance has struggled to recruit experienced oil specialists amid a shortage of skilled labour. The high oil price has caused a boom in oil exploration and investment, pushing up the cost of staff globally.
